St. Pete's halal options have leaned Mediterranean and clustered up in Tampa. We wanted halal comfort food closer to home, so we cook wings, philly, burgers and biryani.

Is everything at GEM FOOD halal?
Yes. Every item on the menu is halal. That covers platters, wings, philly sandwiches, biryani, gyro and shawarma, burgers, seafood and sides. There is nothing on the menu you need to ask about.
Do you serve pork?
No. Pork is never in our kitchen, so there is no pork line and no cross-contamination from one.
Do you serve or cook with alcohol?
No. We do not serve alcohol and we do not cook with it.
Where are you located?
We are at 2800 38th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713, on 38th Avenue North in St. Petersburg, with parking on site.
What are your hours?
We are open daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Do you offer takeout and delivery?
Yes. Dine in or take out, and delivery is available. Call (727) 954-0001 to order ahead and we will have it bagged and ready.
Do you cater?
Yes. We pack trays and platters for offices, mosques, parties and community events including Ramadan iftars and Eid. Call or email us with your headcount.
What kind of food do you serve?
Halal comfort food across Middle Eastern, South Asian and American styles. Biryani platters, gyro and shawarma, wings, philly cheesesteaks, burgers, fried seafood and salads. Most plates run $5 to $20.
